"Sunlit Sail I"
Think of the Sun glistening across serene waters. Rutilated Quartz (Tiny linear rutile crystals formed in the interior of clear quartz) is wrapped in 22 Karat Gold, with a freshwater Pearl, also wrapped in 22 Karat Gold. This contemporary pendant is constructed of hand fabricated Sterling Silver "Spiculum" Forms. The Spiculum form is created by forging flat sheets of sterling silver (hammering it to curl up into a hollow tube form). It is then soldered together at the seam. Each of the "Spiculum" forms are then intersected and soldered together as one piece, to create this beautiful contemporary pendant. A halo of 14 Karat Gold tops the Pendant.
